Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka is Belarusian born in Minsk. The father of her Sergey (d. 2019) was an athlete in ice hockey. Aryna Sabalenka, born on May 5, 1998 in Minsk Belarus. Over the course of her career, she's been awarded 12 WTA singles titles. This includes one Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. For doubles she's extremely skilled. She's been a winner of two Majors in the past with Elisemertens The US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. In 2019, she won two majors, in the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian teammate, and completed the Sunshine Double. This feat was only achieved by four couples playing in the women's doubles. She went from 2nd to third in the singles world ranking on the 23rd of August in 2021. Her highest rank was also achieved in the month of January of 2023. At doubles she however pushed her way to the top at the beginning of February that year, following the win in Melbourne making her the second tennis player from Belarus to be a part of the sport of doubles. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach throughout 2018, up until the season came to an end in 2019 and then for a limited period at the beginning of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann was in a brief period as her teammate from August 2020 to September. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman, has been coaching her since the year 2020. Serena Williams is her role hero, then Maria Sharapova.
